Looks like a fun game, but since I have a laptop and I am right-handed, the controls make it very very difficult. My left hand just isn't coordinated enough to use a touchpad and click a button at the same time!
Any game in today's modern marketplace should have a WASD option.

There needs to be more levels.
I was excited about getting to fully upgrade my ship, and then the game ended!
Maybe there could also be varying levels of difficulty, or a randomly generated free roam map (get gold for finding it and killing other pirates). You could paddle around in circles and have epic cannon battles!

Made a pretty good knockoff of Boxhead
But maybe you should try working on some original concepts.
It's obvious you've got the mechanics and art down!

...is a dictionary.
Pollution has two L's
That's the only thing I could think the whole movie.
Fix it.

"Just like the spam says, longer IS better"
Loved the concept, was sorry to see it end so quickly.
Animate the level transition screens--each time I passed a level, I thought the game had frozen.
Have you thought about making the scarf controllable? It was really hard to get enemies who were below you (enemy is period, you are asterisk)

Author's Response:
Both very good points. I actually wanted the whole thing to just be one un-interrupted level, but I ran out of time and couldn't figure out how scroll over all the bitmap data, then delete off-screen data and place new data.
If I come back to this to improve it, that's the first thing I'd investigate.
I originally wanted to have the player only have to manually control the scarf at first, then after say, defeating the first boss, one would be able to to press a button to guide it in a certain direction.
Thanks a bunch for the comment! :D

I clicked the movie at the beginning and everything turned black, only visible when it moved.
You should fix that in v2

Great flash, makes me remember the days when I had a PC instead of a 360 and could play good RTS
Kanti is the typical kid, and his problem is one that I myself had to overcome. When first playing the game, I skipped the tutorials so that I could "get to the action." However, I accidentally read one of the tut screens, and was surprised to find that yes, they DID actually help you understand how to play!
Thanks for the succinct explanations and a solid contribution :o)

I think a timer with "par" times would definitely make this a lot better.

I love the concept!
But there should be a way to skip the narrating and get right to the choices. I die a lot, and it's annoying to have to listen to EVERYthing over and over again.
Good replay value.
Maybe there should also be a bookmark function, so that you can choose to reload your last choice if it leads to your death. Because, we ALL kept our finger in the previous page of a choose-your-own-adventure book, and we'd still like to do it online :o)
Author's Response:
*chuckle*, yeah, I know we all do that; I was just afraid that the game was too short to have checkpoints though. Definitely going to have to be a feature in DC2. Thanks for the review.

"As an english major, I could only sit and cry"
Fun little story, but so many typos in the subtitles that it needs to be reworked. Really, if there weren't typos, I'd give this an 8, but man, it was inexcusable.
